Amputee Sporting Celebrity Visit - September 2022
We have been lucky enough to have our local celebrity TJ Yates visiting Riders Schools who plays for the England Amputee Football Association. Our children were inspired by his resilience, bravery and determination and even had a turn at playing football on crutches. They had the opportunity to ask questions about his training and he has promised to visit Riders in between training and the world cup in October. As a school we are raising funds to contribute towards the costs of flying out to Turkey and attending the world cup, and would love our community to get behind us with this. Each class has been drawn a country and will be following the World cup to see how far that country gets- we will of course be cheering on England every step of the way!
