Year 3 Visiting Guide Dog - November 2021
Year 3 received a visit from a trainee guide dog. The dog was called Coco, as it is sponsored by Coco Chanel! When trainee guide dogs are sponsored, it is common that their name is chosen by their sponsor. Coming into school was a great opportunity for Coco's training and development, in preparing her for being around lots of people, in busy places and being socialised. The children loved seeing Coco in school and her trainer sent is this......
"Thank you so much for inviting myself, Tim and Coco into your school yesterday. You were really welcoming, and everything was smoothly organised. Your children were so very well behaved - really respectful of the needs of the dog but clearly really enthusiastic to ask questions and get fully involved with the talk. They really were a joy to be with!
