School remains open for the children of critical workers and our vunerable children only, these families have been contacted and offered this service.
Stay at home
- Only go outside for food, health reasons or work (but only if you cannot work from home)
- Stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people
- Wash your hands as soon as you get home
You can spread the virus even if you don’t have symptoms.
The population is now being advised to self-isolate for 14 days if ANY member of the household has shown any of the symptoms. They have also increased their protection advice for any women who are pregnant.
The symptoms are:
- A high temperature (37.8 degrees and above) or
- A new, continuous cough

If you need to report your child absent due to them self isolating, please leave a message using the normal routes. Either leave a message on the absence line, call the office or email in on firstname.lastname@example.org
We will endeavour to keep parents up to date with news and any updates as we receive them from Public Health England.
As well as the Public Health updates we are receiving on a daily basis to the school the Department for Education has set up a general helpline for parents should you have any queries or concerns about the virus:

WORK FOR CHILDREN IN ISOLATION
For children who are self isolating we are committed to providing distance learning. Below are year group pages which will be added to as the days go by. For families who do not have access to this, our staff are busy working on resources that will be available for collection from the school office if needed. Please be patient with us whilst we are getting this all organised and visit these pages regularly for updates.

You can get free access to Phonics Play while schools are closed. Username: march20 Password: home – we use this, particularly in the infants, to aid children with their early reading.
